C'est La Vie is a young women's barbershop quartet that formed in October of 2013. Not the traditional straw hat and striped vest barbershoppers but modern singers with a wide variety of talents. One fun fact about this quartet is that they are the only group to have 3 current Sweet Adelines gold medals (last year). In August of 2015 they won the Sweet Adelines International Rising Star Competition. In October of 2015, they won the International Chorus contest with the Scottsdale Chorus. And finally in May of 2016, they won the Region 21 Quartet Competition. All were students at Arizona State University, until Melanie graduated to start teaching 3rd grade starting this fall. They started out singing barbershop in the Treblemakers at Chandler High School and are now continuing to grow in the Sweet Adelines World of Barbershop. Their passion for music makes barbershop more than just a hobby; it is a lifestyle.
